Studies, research, transfer of technology

The university of applied science is concentrating in equal measure on education, advanced training, applied research and the transfer of technology. In addition to the traditional study programs like mechanical or process engineering there is particular demand for programs in logistics, telematics and computer science. New programs like aeronautical engineering / aeronautical logistics and bioinformatics / biosystems technology are adding to the attractiveness of the school program.

TFH Wildau has made it its business, to support the ecomomic development of the region. Cooperative activities range from finding solutions for the individual questions of small regional companies to the implementation of innovative technologies.

SMAP (Small Aerial Photogrammetry System) / ATISS (Autonomous Flying Testbed for Integrated Sensor Systems)

Generation of high-quality aerial photographs for surveys with a remote controlled small airplane with integrated GPS, equipped with a high resolution digital aerial camera. Each picture is annotated with information regarding position and location. Methods and techniques that had previously been employed for civilian purposes exclusively in manned aircraft were transferred to a remote controlled small airplane in the framework of this project.

MarCoGraph

MarCoGraph is a GeoMarketing software especially developed for financial institutions and insurances. It allows for the cartographic analysis of economic and demographic data from any data source.

MarCoGraph is easy to use. It features colour-coded maps of economic data on the level of ZIP codes in different map styles, standard interfaces for simple data transfer and export of results f.e. to MS Powerpoint. The integration with CRM systems is realised through a XMLinterface.
