The mission of the Leibniz-Centre for Agricultural Landscape Research (ZALF) is to do scientific research on ecosystems in agricultural landscapes and to develop ecologically and economically tenable land use systems. It is an institution of the Leibniz Association (WGL) in the legal form of a non-profit corporation. ZALF is funded to one half by the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV) and to one half by the Ministry for Rural Development, Environment and Consumer Protection (MLUV) of Brandenburg.
